Plastic Pipes - Extended Call for Papers
Nov 10, 2017
Organizers of PLASTIC PIPES XIX have extended their deadline for the submission of abstracts by two weeks to 15 November 2017. The international Plastic Pipe Conference and Exhibition takes place in Las Vegas, US at the Red Rock Resort on the 24 – 26 September 2018.
Announcing the extension, Zoran Davidovski, Conference Co-Chair/Chair of the Technical Program, comments: “We have already received some major proposals for presentations and are particularly interested to receive case reference experience from major water, gas, sewer and telecom utility companies.”
“Plastic pipe technology is constantly evolving to meet an ever wider range of new applications. New applications particularly in the industrial sector are therefore of similar key interest.”
Davidovski explains that presentation slots for PPXIX are now more competitive since the technical program had already been reduced from 130 to approximately 80 papers. “The objective here was to provide more time for networking during coffee breaks and our social program.”
“Our conference is a truly global event and we expect to host at least 500 delegates from over 40 countries. Furthermore, our exhibition side now features more prominently in scope and scale. Our Berlin conference and exhibition in 2016 was our largest ever with almost 40 exhibitors.”
Conference speakers and participants are typically drawn from utility companies, pipe manufacturers, raw material suppliers, consultants, specifiers and technical institutes.
Conference details for submission of abstracts
Subject matter for papers comprises market issues, plastic pipeline solutions, application areas, processing, test methods, performance and sustainability. Potential presenters are invited to submit a maximum 300-word abstract in the English language.
It is also important to note that speakers whose abstracts have been accepted for oral presentation will receive a ten per cent discount on the Early Bird registration fee (speaker registration fee USD 1,170)
Abstract submissions are processed through the online conference website where additional submission requirements are also provided. Submissions and information concerning conference registration, exhibition and sponsorship can be obtained from: www.ppxix.com
Main corporate sponsors for PLASTIC PIPES XIX in Las Vegas are Baerlocher and Rollepaal. Gold level sponsors are the Dow Chemical Company, S&B Technical Products Hultec USA and MOL. IPAD corners will be sponsored by PVC4Pipes Association and PE100+Association and the Gala Dinner by the European Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association (TEPPFA). NSF International will sponsor one of the conference coffee breaks.
Organizers of PLASTIC PIPES XIX are the Plastic Pipes Conference Association (PPCA). In addition to the main conference event that is held every two years, the PPCA hosts spin-off conferences. The next spin-off conference will be the 5th China International Conference. Hosted jointly by CPPA (China Plastics Piping Association) and PPCA, this Conference and Exhibition will take place in Hangzhou on 26 -27 October 2017 at the Zhejiang Sanli New Century Grand Hotel.
A PPCA LINKEDIN page has been created to post updates of the main event and information on spin-off conferences hosted in those countries where the plastic pipe industry is on the verge of significant growth. This LINKEDIN page may be accessed through:
